You're How Old?

*Post from the fall*
Another year older and wiser. Can you believe she's SIX!
E is a little lady for sure now that she's taller, leaner, and her baby cheeks aren't so baby anymore.
Birthday morning.
Excited to see her Tinker Bell balloon waiting for her downstairs.
She wore her crown all day. I was pleased as punch to be there volunteering in the classroom as they sang Happy Birthday. She was beaming! For dinner that evening, she requested Chicken Marsala.
Awesome.
She also requested a Fairy cake, as in Tinkerbell and friends. So the tiny toys are lovingly placed on top of the cake. She LOVED it!
She was crying when I picked her up in carpool that day. As she was hurrying to the van, she fell and skinned her knee and wrist. As she was sniffing in the back seat, she said I really hope you have a vanilla flower on my cake. What? Mommy, I really want a vanilla flower on my cake. I know you'll do that for me, right? Uh-oh...
Thank goodness I had a large vanilla yogurt in the fridge. I transferred the yogurt into another container and cut the vanilla bean, complete with flower off of the container. Ta-da! It was placed on top. She was so surprised and literally screamed for joy and jumped out of her chair.
She was a happy birthday girl.
She loved her gifts. You could wrap up a stick and she'd be thrilled! No joke. One day she finished off a bunch of grapes and played with the vine all afternoon.
We love watching her reactions.
Happy Birthday to our sweet little girl.
