Where's Daddy?

Hide and Seek is one of our favorite games. We've played it since E was just a tiny thing. Although she's not mastered in staying hidden until we find her, she is always determined to find the person hiding. Daddy's favorite place to hide is either on the stairs, which takes E a long time to seek him, or behind the curtains. The curtains are like Good Ol' Maurice..."alllways good for a laugh." The curtains are a very thin linen, so you can clearly see anything behind them, especially while the sun is setting. This we found to not always be true when playing with a 2 year old. In the past, it took her awhile to find Daddy, and when she did it was his feet that gave it away (not the giant shadow of Daddy standing next to her). She has since caught on and sometimes the game becomes Tag. We're still giggling though, especially when we watch clips like this one. The footage isn't the best. I'm facing the setting sun afterall. But I love to hear E announce where she's hiding and see her excited wiggle once she's found.

The Mouth of Babes

As E sat on the toilet, she wondered what we were going to do that day.

E: Aw we goin' to the thore (store)?
Me: No, not today.
E: Aw we goin' to Evewyn's house?
Me: That would be fun, but not today.
E: Aw we gonna go see Jesus?

After an inside chuckle, I thought, not today I hope!

He's Got It Down

From the very beginning, I was determined to have the boys on the same schedule. It was my goal to basically have them eat and sleep at the same time. It wasn't hard to do, to my surprise. The next goal was to teach my husband how to do the same thing. What a champ! It didn't take him long to feel comfortable feeding
and burping the boys all on his own at the same time! Hooray for A!

Little Milestones

With a house full of little ones, there is always a milestone to celebrate.

E is always willing to help out in the kitchen. She helps unload the dishwasher, sets the table, replaces the dishtowels, and gets her milk, as well as her brothers' milk, from the refrigerator. I think she knows the entire salsa making process and when it comes to helping Mommy with baking, she is all over it.

For the past few weeks, O has started to smile and coo at us. He has two adorable dimples! Sorry, you can't see them here. It's hard to get him to smile and be quick enough to take the picture at the same time. I'll work on that. Also, he's been doing some strength training in his legs. He was on the boppy a few minutes before this picture was taken! He was 6 weeks in these pics. He's a big boy!

W is 4 months old and on the verge of crawling. He can easily get up on all 4 and rock even while half asleep. He barely moves his legs while rocking, but after repeating this motion for long period of time, he can travel a great distance! W is also a baby version of Tigger. He loves to jump and kick...maybe that's why he's so skinny.

The Time Has Come

Most of you may be saying,"It's about time." It's true, I've wanted to start blogging for awhile now because it's so hard to keep up with friends and family these days. This is a good way to keep track of what goes on around here. So, this blog is for our little family, our relatives, and friends who keep asking,"When are you starting your blog?" Well, here we go...we're starting
now.
