Beach 2009- Part 2

Ahh...the lazy river. Here are all my boys.
The fountain was E's favorite toy last year. Once discovered by W, it quickly became his favorite. He had complete control of a working machine...that's joy, my friends.
Sprinting to the pool.
W and Pa on the lazy river.
O didn't like the ocean, but LOVED the pool. He loved jumping into the water and throwing himself off the stairs. Constant vigilance!
E was so much more comfortable in the water this year. She enjoyed playing with her water ring, floaties and goggles.
Two thumbs up!
W's entertainment on the beach this day was opening and closing the bucket...over and over and over and over.
Over and over and over.
This is how I spent my time...chasing O up and down the beach.
How cute is he?
Surprisingly, he walked right up to a flock of seagulls. O just stood about two feet away observing. It wasn't until he started walking again that the birds got a little nervous. But O took several steps towards them before any of them took flight.
This picture proves that E had a wonderful friendship with yellow fish...the sand toy. But soon after this picture was taken, yellow fish was tragically taken by the ocean and we were unable to rescue him. E tried to run after him, literally throwing her entire body into the ocean as she tried to catch him. As she's hysterically screaming, alerting all beach goers within a five mile radius, Daddy and Pa attempted to search for the fish, knowing the end result. E was finally calmed by the fact that another little girl will be really happy to find fish and play with him. Yellow fish was included in her night time prayer.
A and I were able to go out for an evening. Not only did we shop and see a movie, but we also ate at Five Guys (great burger and fry joint) . I saw this sign and thought of my friend, Shena, and how she loves her Idaho.
E and Wazzah's favorite game was jumping into the lazy river and allowing the current to bring them to A, who waited for them about 8 feet away by the stairs. They loved holding their breath, opening their eyes and practicing how to swim.

Once caught, they head for the stairs and do it all over again...and again.
Near the end of the week, the girls were able to swim towards the stairs and catch the rails. Very exciting!
A very comfortable Wazzah floating around.
Here comes E a little on the nervous side.

Part 3 coming soon.
