Our Birthday Girl got to celebrate twice. Once with just us and once with Grandparents and cousins. On her actual birthday, we went shopping, she checked out a Bob The Builder movie from the library, helped me make her giant birthday cookie, and she chose her birthday dinner to be chicken and rice with green beans and a salad. She made sure the salad had plenty of carrots, cucumbers, grape tomatoes and sugar nap peas.
Here's a shout out to Lisa, Martha Stewart's twin, who gave me the cookie recipe. She's awesome and so is her recipe.
Before dinner, E is all smiles, O is ready for prayer, and W is eying the food on E's plate. What is it? Surprise, surprise...a carrot.
