It would be nice to have a large pumpkin farm near us that offers activities and picture perfect opportunities, but we have found the next best thing. Since we've moved here, we have gone to The Great Pumpkin Patch every October for pictures. It's large enough for the kids to run around, explore, and generally have a good time. The people who own the Patch are friendly and generous. They donate items to local schools and have even given me great deals when I'm decorating for the church Fall Festival.
They had several scary black cats on display. You can see 3 in this picture. W was really unsure about them. He eyed them, walking back and forth, but wouldn't go near. It wasn't until O approached them, laughing, and then E rolled over one with a cart. W realized he could get closer...but not too close.
